Shuhada Foundation honors martyrs of Nigeria's Quds Day march

Quds Day, an annual event held worldwide to support Palestinian rights, often faces crackdowns in Nigeria. The Islamic Movement of Nigeria has consistently advocated for Palestine, despite government opposition. This year’s violence further highlights ongoing tensions between authorities and peaceful demonstrators.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The 'Shuhada Foundation' of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria has honored 27 martyrs who lost their lives during the 2025 peaceful Quds Day march in Abuja. The foundation emphasized its unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause.

Violent crackdowns by security forces on peaceful Quds Day rallies in Abuja and Kaduna have resulted in significant casualties, with scores of lives lost in Nigeria this year.

Auwal Darazo, head of the Bauchi State Shuhada Foundation, urged the Muslim community in Nigeria to put aside their differences, unite, and continue supporting Palestinians in their struggle for justice.

Sheikh Ahmad Yusuf Yashi, representing Sheikh Zakzaky in Bauchi State, reaffirmed the Islamic Movement of Nigeria's dedication to Palestine, stating that despite the recurring government crackdowns during Quds Day, the movement remains steadfast in its advocacy.
